I'm Dave Fellows, and I believe the best pet care starts with a genuine relationship.
I've always loved the honesty of animals. They don't pretend to like you because they're being polite, and they don't hide how they feel. When an animal chooses to trust you and gets genuinely excited to see you, you know you've earned it.
I've had dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and birds of my own over the years, but I've also formed some pretty special relationships with other people's pets. In fact, two of my closest canine friends don't belong to me at all. Rumi is a Goldendoodle who goes absolutely bananas when he sees me. And then there's Lucia, a German Shepherd who was rescued as a stray and came with some understandable trust issues. Watching her gradually learn to trust me — and seeing her excitement when I arrive — has been incredibly rewarding.
That's the kind of relationship I want with every animal in my care.
A Different Kind of Experience
My career has taken me through customer service, administration, and hospitality management, where I've spent years learning how to provide great service, solve problems, manage responsibility, and — most importantly — look after people.
I've been good at those things, but I wanted to do something that felt more personally fulfilling.
After moving to the San Diego area, I decided to combine the skills I've developed throughout my career with something I've always genuinely loved: animals.
The result is a pet-care business built around personal attention, reliability, and trust.
Every Pet Has a Personality
A shy cat. An energetic puppy. A disapproving rabbit. A dog who wants to be everyone's best friend — or one who needs a little more time to get there.
I don't believe there's a single approach to caring for animals.
I take the time to learn who each pet is: their personality, their routines, what they enjoy, what makes them nervous, and how they communicate. Just as importantly, I give them the chance to get to know me.
Because I don't want to be simply the person who arrives, does a job, and leaves.
I want to be someone your pet is genuinely happy to see.
Kind. Helpful. Dependable.
If you asked my friends and family to describe me, I suspect two words would come up pretty quickly: kind and helpful.
I've always been someone who goes a little further than expected. I've tutored and mentored children and adults with special needs, and those experiences have taken me far beyond the classroom — to water parks, camping trips, jet skiing, and plenty of other adventures.
That same instinct to help, to pay attention, and to make sure people are looked after is something I bring to pet care.
I also believe trust should be earned, not simply requested. That's why I've taken steps such as obtaining pet care insurance, Pet CPR and First Aid certification, and obtaining a background check and a clean driving record. Photo updates and optional real-time location sharing are also available for your peace of mind. I want you to know exactly who you're trusting with your pet.
Over time, my hope is that trust becomes something much simpler:
When you need someone to care for your pet, you think of me first.
A Last Little Bit About Me
If you've watched my introductory video, you may have noticed the accent. Don't worry — it's just a side effect of being British! I moved to the United States in 2018 and spent several years living near San Francisco before my recent move to San Diego.
Outside of pet care, I'm an avid reader. I've read more than 700 books and have even written two myself.
But these days, I'm particularly happy to have found something that combines the things I've learned throughout my career with something that has always made me happy: spending time with animals.
